SUP and Saddle is where you are able to rent Bikes, Sups, and Kayaks on Coronado Island. Bike rentals are available at our Coronado Ferry Landing location in Coronado.
Biking is a great way to beat parking on Coronado Island. When you rent a bike from SUP and Saddle you are provided with a bike basket, helmet and bike lock. You are able to lock your bikes on Orange Avenue at the designated bike stations. There are also designated bike lock areas at the Hotel del Coronado and at Coronado Beach.
There is plenty of parking on the side streets near the Coronado Ferry landing; there is also a paid parking lot directly behind SUP and Saddle at the Coronado Ferry Landing.
Due to heavy traffic on the island, no! You may observe other cyclists doing so during your ride around the island-this is very dangerous! You may ride your bikes on the side streets as long as you follow the flow of traffic and respect drivers passing by. There is a beautiful 6 mile bike loop within designated bike lanes that circle the island, taking you from the Ferry Landing all the way to the Historic Hotel del Coronado!
When you rent with SUP and Saddle you get complimentary roadside assistance! Our guides are here to help if you have trouble with your bike lock or have any difficulties with your tires or bike. Simply call the shop and let us know where you are and we will send a guide to assist!
There is a lot to do and see on Coronado Island! Coronado Island is home to both the U.S. Navy and Airforce and the Hotel del Coronado. A bike to the beach will let you see various aircraft landing just above the iconic Coronado Beach and will also take you to the historic Hotel del Coronado. After some time at the beach you can walk along Orange Avenue for shopping and dining. SUP and Saddle offers one hour, three hour, and full day rentals for biking around the island.

Paddleboarding is a great way to get exercise and also see the iconic San Diego Bay and Coronado Bridge. SUP and Saddle guides are here to help beginners gain their footing and enjoy their time on the water. The guides will advise which way the current is going and any additional things to watch for while enjoying your time in the water.
Yes! We advise those paddleboarding or kayaking to bring a change of clothes and to wear water appropriate attire while paddleboarding and kayaking. The Coronado Ferry Landing has bathrooms located next to our shop for changing in and out of clothes.

Coronado Island has been a resort town since the late 1800s! Because of this Coronado Island has lots of rich history. The SS Monte Carlo, a prohibition-era casino ship, sank off the coast of Coronado in the 1930s. You can now see the ship on the beach during low tides at the Coronado Shores beach, located south of the historic Hotel del Coronado.
SUP and Saddle offers informative bike tours of Coronado Island by our experienced local guides. The guides will stop at locations such as the historic Hotel del Coronado, Centennial Park overlooking Naval Air Station Coronado and the infamous Tent City!
Biking Coronado Island continuously will take about an hour, as it is a 6 mile bike loop. Those looking to bike, stop for lunch and site-see will take about three hours.
Coronado Island is a beautiful getaway destination in San Diego. You are able to take a ferry boat from San Diego to Coronado, drive over the iconic San Diego Bay Bridge or drive down from Imperial Beach through the beautiful Silver Strand.

Renting a kayak is a great way to see the iconic Coronado Bridge from the beautiful San Diego Bay. When renting Kayaks from SUP and Saddle, you are able to stop and rest on the many beaches that line the bayside coast of Coronado. These are Tidelands Park, the launching beach, and the two Ferry Landing beaches.

SUP and Saddle offers both kayaking and paddle boarding tours from our Coronado location. Experienced guides will help you into the watercraft and take you along the San Diego Bay, answering questions about the area and giving a historic and informational tour.
We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes prior to your tour so that you may store any belongings in our lockers and change into water appropriate attire.
We advise patrons to bring sunblock, sunglasses, a towel, change of clothes and to wear water appropriate attire for the duration of their time in the bay.
SUP and Saddle offers small locker rentals for $4 so you can store your items while you are out on your adventure.
The road going from Coronado to Imperial Beach is called the Silver Strand because of the silvery oyster shells found along this beach.
